When I first migrated to the United States, I fell in love with books. Not only were they a method for me to learn the English language quicker, but they were my getaway from reality at the time. I remember reading a couple of the small book series within 2 days. I even decided that I would write my own fiction novel. How did that go you’re wondering? Well, let’s just say I gave up while writing the first chapter (ha!). All of that took place in middle school. Since then, I gave up the idea of writing a book. 

Deep down, the desire remained but a year ago, if you asked me, I would say I have no idea what I would write a book about. 

But here I am today, by God’s grace, publishing a book about singleness. 

If you follow me on social media, you know this is easily one of the topics I talk about more than anything. You also know it took me a while before I got into my first relationship (after graduating college). While I love this topic; writing a book on it was a journey. 

Was the process to publish Singleness Done Right easy? Absolutely not. Initially, I doubted whether or not I could even write a book because gee, that’s a lot of writing, I thought. Well yes, it is, but something greater kept me going. 

Why I Wrote Singleness Done Right

I wrote Singleness Done Right because I have a burning desire to see other single women not waste this precious season called singleness. A few years from now, If I looked back and didn’t write this book; I would feel as though something inside of me is missing.  I believe this message will set so many Singles free and help them become their best self.  

In the book, we discuss a range of topics from trust issues to identity, self-awareness, purpose, relationship with God, communication skills and more. I share my personal experiences, what worked for me as well as what I wish I knew before I started courting/dating. 

I made sure Singleness Done Right is filled with practical steps so you can start applying in your life immediately. 

One thing I make clear in the book is that I did not write it so you can get a man. Well yes, some things you learn will help you be prepared for healthy marriages. Ultimately, I wrote this book because I want to see every Singles (as long as you’re not married) flourish in this season just as God would like to see them prosper.  This season is beautiful. It’s not meant to be spent just “waiting”.
