25 Ways to Pray Over Your Future Husband

As I was journaling my prayer for my future husband on this rainy morning, I realized that I haven’t shared anything like this on the blog.

I look back to my younger days when I would hear people say to “pray for your future spouse”. I always struggled with exactly what to pray for.  I thought I would share a list of 25 Ways to Pray Over Your Future Husband.

God works in marvelous ways. It will be amazing pretty to hear your future husband sharing testimonies as answers to these prayers you’ll be praying over him.

Before going through this list, ask yourself the following question:

Do I believe God answers prayers?

“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord”. James 1:6-7

Pray these prayers with faith that God will answer. Perhaps as you’re praying for your future husband, you’ll realize that you need to pray some of these over yourself as well.

1. Pray that his identity is deeply rooted in Christ
2. Pray that the Lord teaches him how to love
3. Pray that he desires wisdom and knowledge
4. Pray that he loves the Word of God
5. Pay that he is a man of vision
6. Pray that he loves to work
7. Pray that he learns how to handle conflicts
8. Pray that he makes growing his relationship with the Lord a priority
9. Pray that he is willing to be uncomfortable for Christ
10. Pray that he has compassion for those who are lost
11. Pray that he finds a community of believers
12. Pray that he has a heart to serve his community
13. Pray for his relationship with his family
14. Pray that he is careful who he chooses as friends
15. Pray that God places in his life godly role models
16. Pray that his mind is renewed by the Word of God
17. Pray that he acknowledges God in every decision he wants to make
18. Pray that he is not easily influenced by the world
19. Pray that he is an example to those around him
20. Ask God to help him use the tough times and challenges as a learning experience
21. Pray that he is always ready to give an answer for what he believes in (1 Peter 3:15)
22. Temptations. Temptations. Pray that he may flee from  sexual temptations
23. Pray that he loves little ones
24. Pray that he is slow to speak and slow to become angry (James 1:19)
25. Pray that he discovers his purpose
